Our approach
We raise funds to help U.S.-based families afford home births attended by qualified midwives.
Sponsorship
One family, one birth, one gift at a time.
A midwife tells us about a family who needs help. We check the details with her, and once the money is raised we pay her directly.
You can cover a birth kit ($100), partially fund a birth ($1,000), or cover the full course of care from first visit to six weeks after the birth ($6,000). Smaller gifts are pooled until a family’s care is paid for.
Legal campaign
We support families with home birth costs today and champion affordable home birth care for tomorrow.
Long-term goals
One day we hope the fund won’t be needed. Until then, this is what we’re building toward.
A standing fund
So we can say yes to a family well before their due date.
New midwives
Scholarships for students training to become midwives.
Fair coverage
Homebirth covered by insurance as a matter of course.
